April - May

Rathotsava

Car Festival

The grandest annual festival of our temple. The sacred deity is placed in the beautifully decorated Brahmaratha (temple chariot) and taken around in a magnificent procession. This tradition began after 1785 AD, with the current Brahmaratha constructed around 1827 AD. This festival draws thousands of devotees from across the region who come to witness this magnificent spectacle and seek blessings.

Vanabhojana

Golden Mandapa Procession

Lord Shri Srinivasa is taken out in the Golden Mandapa while Lord Shri Venkatramana is carried in golden palanquins. This magnificent Hagalu Utsav procession showcases the temple's rich heritage and the devotion of the community. The sight of the deities adorned in their finest regalia, moving through the temple corridors and surrounding areas, is truly a divine experience.

September - October

Navaratri

Festival of Durga

Nine nights of devoted worship dedicated to Goddess Durga, celebrating her victory over evil. The temple is beautifully decorated with flowers and lights. Special religious ceremonies are performed each evening, accompanied by devotional songs and cultural programs. Devotees fast and participate in traditional rituals throughout this auspicious period.

Janmashtami

Krishna's Birth Celebration

Celebration of Lord Krishna's birth with midnight ceremonies marking the exact moment of his divine arrival. Dahi Handi breaking competitions add a festive spirit, and the temple resonates with devotional songs throughout the night. Children and adults alike participate in this joyous occasion, commemorating the divine play (leela) of Lord Krishna.

Paryayotsava

Alternating Pooja Rights

A unique tradition where the right to perform pooja alternates between two families - the Puraniks and the Joshis - each year. This time-honored practice ensures shared responsibility and maintains continuity of worship. The alternating year is celebrated with great enthusiasm as the respective family assumes their sacred duties.

Lakshadeepotsava

Festival of a Hundred Thousand Lamps

The entire temple is illuminated with thousands of oil lamps, creating a breathtaking spectacle of light and spirituality. The golden glow of the lamps reflects the divine presence and creates an atmosphere of pure devotion. This festival represents the triumph of light over darkness and is a sight to behold as visitors and devotees gather to witness the temple bathed in divine light.

Sahasra Kumbhabhisheka

Grand Consecration Ceremony

A grand consecration ceremony held at special intervals to revitalize the sanctity of the temple. The first such ceremony in our temple's modern history was held on February 10, 2000, conducted by the revered Srimad Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji. This rare occasion brings together the entire community in collective worship and celebration of the divine.

Holy Pilgrimage

A sacred religious pilgrimage to the holy temple of Tirupati where devotees carry Kanika offerings as expressions of devotion. This journey holds deep spiritual significance as devotees seek blessings from Lord Venkateshwara at his primary abode. The pilgrimage strengthens the spiritual bonds within our community and reinforces our faith in the divine.

Bhajana Mandali - Evening Devotional Singing

Schedule: Every evening for 1 hour

Our temple's Bhajana Mandali (devotional singing group) gathers every evening for an hour of soul-stirring bhajanas (devotional hymns). These sacred songs invoke divine presence and create an atmosphere of pure spirituality. The melodious chanting of verses praising Lord Venkatramana and other deities resonates through the temple, offering solace and inspiration to all who participate.

This is an integral part of our daily seva (service), where devotees contribute their voices and hearts to create a unified spiritual experience. Whether you're a seasoned singer or simply wish to listen, all are welcome to join our Bhajana Mandali.
